As the current EU Drugs Strategy expires at the end of the year, the Presidency decided to propose Council conclusions on the new strategy, aiming to draw guidelines for the new EU drugs strategy.

Draft Council conclusions were presented and examined during the HDG meetings of 18 April and 22 May 2012. On the basis of these discussions and taking into account the comments provided after these discussions, the draft Council Conclusions on new drugs strategy were finalised and can be read in the attachment below.
