Drug War Shrapnel

2 November 2011

"The pure Coca leaf is very high in proteins, vitamins and minerals. It is a sacred leaf that has been a staple of Andean daily life and religious rituals since ancient times"

The Indigenous people from the Tayrona culture in Colombia refer to themselves as "The Elder Brother" and believe they live at the Heart of the World. They are being fumigated by Glyphosate - Roundup®. This fumigation practice, used as a weapon in the War on Drugs, has been contaminating the land and displacing people throughout Colombia and other parts of South America for decades.

The "Elder Brother" asks you to help to end this scourge on the Natural World. The Global Commission on Drug Policy has declared the War on Drugs a failure.

Join up and support the wide spectrum of US organizations working to build the political will to make one of the key policy changes of our time. The Indigenous peoples of Colombia and the world will be enormously grateful to you for taking action.
