Why faith matters: Envisioning a new global drug policy
In advance of the 2016 United Nations General Assembly Special Session on the World Drug Problem (April 19-22), Union Theological Seminary is hosting a panel discussion on the role of faith communities in the making of local and global drug policy, specifically discussing issues of human rights and morality surrounding this topic.

Dinner will be served at 6:00PM, with a keynote from Dr. Ethan Nadelmann of the Drug Policy Alliance, New York, NY, followed by a panel with Rev. Ed Sanders from Metropolitan Interdenominational Church in Nashville, TN, and Dr. Iva Carruthers from Samuel Dewitt Proctor Conference, Chicago, IL. This panel will be moderated by Rev. Derrick Harkins of Union Theological Seminary.
