'Global Solidarity, Don't Punish' — Report on the 2026 Support. Don't Punish Global Day of Action, with a focus on women and gender expansive people who use drugs
As a sister hub with the IDPC Support. Don’t Punish campaign, the Women and Harm Reduction International Network (WHRIN) run Solidarity, Don’t Punish. Sister hubs support thematic mobilisation within the campaign, with WHRIN's focus being on women and gender expansive people who use drugs. This report summarises 19 activities that were reported from Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Benin, Italy, Tanzania, Burundi, Indonesia, Zambia, Portugal, Uganda, Australia, Myanmar, Ukraine, USA, Spain, and the region of Southeast Asia.
In the face of mounting challenges against both gender rights and harm reduction, our community has demonstrated yet again, dignified yet indignant resistance. This year the campaign was characterised by increased coordination at country level, with several consortium collaborations achieving greater reach and impact.
Support. Don't Punish campaign's own summary report is currently being produced, incorporating feedback from dozens of campaigners around the world.
