The Executive Director is responsible for leading ITPC in building a global movement to achieve treatment access for HIV (and associated co-infections) through direct management of the ITPC Global Secretariat and associated Regional Networks and partners.
With a focus on high impact countries, the Senior Specialist, Gender and Key Populations will work closely with Senior disease advisors and the Manager of TPA to integrate recommendations on issues related to gender and human rights into technical advice provided by the TPA team to inform grant implementation and reprogramming.
Over the last year, Chanura Kol has reached out to more than a hundred women who inject drugs, many of whom are HIV positive and all of whom were in need of general and emergency care.
The intervention strategy on drug use is carried out together with Intercambios and includes disclosure, training, and care of drug users both at the individual, institutional and community levels.
The campaign, launched in May 2012 to promote debate on key issues for the reform of the Argentinian narcotics law, is well underway. This is an update on the reach and results achieved so far.
