HCLU, EHRN and Andrey Rylkov Foundation send open letter to new UNODC Executive Director

The new Executive Director of UNODC took the office on 13th September 2010. Mr. Yuri Fedotov, a long term diplomat from Russian Federation made a statement on in support of human rights and health based drug policies, noting that "public health and human rights must be central" to the work of his UNODC.
Following this statement, the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union (HCLU) together with the Eurasian Harm Reduction Network and the Andrey Rylkov Foundation, sent an open letter to Mr. Fedotov to welcome his statement and offer their support in his struggle to convince governments, especially Russia's government, to reform their drug policies.
