Childhood that matters: The impact of drug policies on children and adolescents with imprisoned mothers and fathers in Latin America and the Caribbean

It is estimated that in Latin America there are more than 2 million children and adolescents who have one of their parents deprived of their liberty and that of these, almost half a million live in this situation due to the mass incarceration of people for minor non-violent drug crimes.

Join us in the the launch of this study, based on the results of the fieldwork carried out in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay, has as main objective to make visible the impacts that this phenomenon has had on the lives of thousands of children and adolescents and that, still, are practically invisible to public policies in the region.
