2016 Students for Sensible Drug Policy Conference

1 June 2015

About SSDP2016

Students for Sensible Drug Policy conferences are known for hosting some of the most exciting, groundbreaking panels and discussions in the field of drug policy reform, and #SSDP2016 will be no different. This year, we challenged ourselves to make the conference more student-driven than ever by giving our members the chance to vote on session content. As a result, SSDP2016 will offer a diverse menu of learning opportunities that will help you become a more knowledgeable and capable advocate for sensible drug policy.

For the past decade, we’ve hosted our conference biennially, but starting in 2016, we’re excited to announce that we’re switching to an annual Spring conference schedule! During these extraordinary three-day events, the SSDP network comes together to celebrate, learn, connect, and advocate at the SSDP Conference. SSDP2016 will bring more than 400 student members, alumni, and supporters to Washington, DC for our largest-ever gathering featuring:

  • Educational programming.
  • Awards Ceremony + Dance Party.
  • Student Congress.
  • And more.

The next SSDP conference will take place April 15-17, 2016 at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn (1900 North Fort Myer Drive, Arlington, VA 22209), just minutes outside of Washington, DC, followed by UNGASS Actions in New York City April 18.

The deadline for regular registration is Thursday, March 31. Register now to avoid paying a higher registration fee on site!

Plus, don't miss:

  • Awards Ceremony + Dance Party. SSDP recognizes outstanding network members with an annual awards ceremony followed by a dance party. Saturday night-only tickets are available on the registration page for $25.
  • Student Congress. Our annual student board member election and governing resolution process invites all SSDP members to participate in defining their SSDP.
  • And more. An alumni gathering, regional meetups, networking meals, and other events offer nearly non-stop opportunities to connect with advocates and leaders of the drug policy reform movement!
