EuroHRN training on drug policies

The European Harm Reduction Network (EuroHRN) is organizing a series of trainings on harm reduction for local drug policies. One of the trainings will be organized on 27-29 October 2014 in Vilnius, Lithuania in partnership with AFR and Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN).

The purpose of this training is to train participants around building relationships with stakeholders to strengthen harm reduction and the local level. Further information on aims, objectives, learning techniques of the training and expectations from participants is in the outline of the training sessions.

Selection criteria

  • Capacity of the participant to transfer lessons learned at national level: i.e. active member of a national harm reduction umbrella, trainer, identified expert at national level, networking capacity, etc.
  • Experience of the participant or his/her organization in local drug partnerships.
  • English speaker (no translation will be provided).
  • Participants from Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Support to participants & logistics

EuroHRN partners AFR will be responsible for leading the training and managing the logistics. EHRN will provide support with inviting participants to the training.

EuroHRN will be able to offer financial support for 9 participants. Details on the compensation can be found in the outline of the training sessions.

To apply to this training please provide us with motivation letter (up to one page) with short description of your experience, you role in local or national drug policy process and knowledge of English.

Please send your motivation letter in English and confirm you availability and willingness to participate in this training 27-29th of October by 31st July 2014.
