18th national conference: Managing drug & alcohol problems in primary care

10 April 2013

The conference is the largest event in the UK for GPs, shared care workers, drug users, nurses and other primary care staff, specialists, commissioners and researchers interested in, and involved with the management of drug users in primary care.

Delegates will benefit from:

  • a high-quality programme put together by leading experts in the field
  • a diverse format of high-profile plenary sessions, smaller workshops and poster presentations, led by some of the best speakers in the sector
  • the chance to network with peers and experts and make useful contacts
  • an opportunity to contribute to and take part in the programme through short papers and poster sessions.

You are invited to submit posters and papers on any aspect of working with drug and alcohol users in primary care. Papers and posters can include a brief description of your service and how it was developed, how you overcame a local problem and/or improved practice, or research and audit that you have carried out.

There are three options for presenters:
A - paper: a 15 minute presentation of your research, audit or problem solving exercise
B - poster: to be displayed in the exhibition area throughout the conference
C - film/other media

Your submission will be peer reviewed by a panel made up of the conference Chair and experts in the field. Deadline for submissions is 12 April 2013.
