Marie Nougier
Deputy Director
Marie Nougier is Deputy Director of IDPC, supporting the network’s strategic direction and coordination. Since 2009, Marie has engaged in research, communications, networking, fundraising, civil society capacity building activities, and policy advocacy engagement, in particular at the Commission on Narcotic Drugs and the Human Rights Council. At the regional level, Marie supports IDPC’s activities in Latin America, Africa and Europe. Marie is also a member of the Core Group of the EU Civil Society Forum on Drugs. Marie has a Master’s degree in international law, human rights and the law of armed conflicts. Before working at IDPC, she worked on issues related to compulsory drug detention in Southeast Asia at the World Health Organisation, as well as immigration, racism and police brutality in Europe at Amnesty International.
