20 February 2019
Civil Society Task Force (CSTF)

The Civil Society Task Force on drugs (CSTF) conducted an online consultation of 461 Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) respondents from 100 countries and territories in the fall of 2018. The consultation covered three key areas: (1) progress since the adoption of the 2009 Political Declaration and Plan of Action on International Cooperation towards an Integrated and Balanced Strategy to Counter the World Drug Problem; (2) progress since the 2016 UN General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) on drugs; and (3) alignment of NGO respondents’ work with the Sustainable Development Goals. The consultation was designed to enhance and supplement the results of the global regional and thematic consultations conducted during the lead up to UNGASS 20161.
