Selected policies on adolescent friendly health services in low and middle income countries

14 August 2014

Maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) score cards are available for each of the 75 high-burden countries where 95% of the global maternal and child deaths occur. These score cards portray the subnational level variations in coverage of maternal and child health programmes. Each country score card presents a set of 11 basic indicators recommended by the Commission of Information and Accountability (COIA) for Women’s and Children’s Health. Subnational level data presented in these score cards have been obtained from the latest published Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) and Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS). Columns in these score cards are blank for indicators where data are not available after 2005.

This scorecard prepared by the WHO shows the subnational level variations in coverage of adolescent friendly health services, including harm reduction interventions for injectable drug users, interventions to prevent HIV/AIDS and HIV testing and counselling services, in low and middle income countries.
