Kyomya Macklean appointed as new ED of UHRN

The Uganda Harm Reduction Network is happy to announce that Kyomya Macklean has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the network.

Kyomya Macklean was the Regional Coordinator with African Sex Workers Alliance (ASWA) for 3 years. She represented the African Region on The Governing Council (GC) of the International AIDS Society (IAS), and was a member of the steering committee of the Civil Society Coalition on Human Rights and Constitutional law Uganda (CSCHRCL). She was also a member of the Task Force for East African Community HIV Bill, and a former member of the UNAIDS Advisory Group on HIV and Sex Work, of the International Advisory Group (AIG) for Universal Access, of the working group for Africa Regional Dialogue of the Global Commission on HIV and the Law, etc.
