IDPC recruits Senior Policy and Operations Manager

Salary range - £ 34,742 - £ 41,298 (depending on skills and experience)

The International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC) is a global network of NGOs and professional networks that aims to promote objective and open debate on the effectiveness, direction and content of drug policies at national and international level, and supports evidence-based policies that are effective in reducing drug-related harm. We have 89 member organisations worldwide and extensive communication and contacts with a range of experts in the field.
Now in our fifth year of existence, the IDPC has established itself as a credible and respected source of policy analysis and advice for policy makers in national governments and international agencies. We are now seeking to broaden and develop our analytical and advocacy activities as well as ensure that our operations are robust and able to support future growth.
We are looking to appoint a Senior Policy and Operations Manager to contribute to the strengthening of our secretariat operations and lead on the development of IDPC’s policy and advocacy work with a specific focus on health and HIV issues. The successful candidate will have strong operations and management experience coupled with highly developed policy and advocacy skills. S/he will have a proven track record in policy analysis with an ability to operate at a high level of international affairs. Experience working on policy issues at the intersect of drug control, health, HIV/AIDS and harm reduction is desirable.
The successful candidate will join a small but high-functioning team at the IDPC Secretariat and must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
