I Latin American Conference on Drug Policy
21 August 2009
The first Latin American Conference on Drug Policy took place in Buenos Aires on August 6-7 and brought together regional experts, policymakers and civil society representatives. Legislative reforms in several countries share a common denominator: decriminalization of drug users, proportional sentences for small dealers, and harm reduction policies to bring drug users closer to the healthcare.
