Harm Reduction Nurses Association (HRNA)

The mission of the Harm Reduction Nurses Association (HRNA) is to promote the advancement of harm reduction nursing through practice, education, research, and advocacy. HRNA strives to achieve its mission through the following actions: 1) Serving as a national voice for harm reduction and related nursing issues, 2) Promoting education and continuous learning opportunities for nurses, 3) Providing opportunities to share nursing knowledge, expertise and practices, 4) Encouraging evidence-based harm reduction nursing practices, 5) Creating a dynamic network to support and mentor nurses across the country, 6) Advocating for the creation and implementation of harm reduction policies, 7) Working collaboratively with partners to address structural conditions that create harms, 8) Advocating for the rights and dignity of people who use drugs and their families

2025 World Drug Day: UNODC and CND must take urgent action to end unlawful use of the death penalty for drug-related offences

On 2025 World Drug Day and Support. Don’t Punish Global Day of Action, 70 organizations call upon the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) to condemn the use of the death penalty from drug related offences. In this joint statement, the signatories demand that human rights safeguards are implemented to uphold international law and standards.
