Center of Excellence for Research in AIDS (CERia)

Established in 2007, the Center of Excellence for Research in AIDS (CERiA) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya is one of the leading HIV and infectious diseases research centers of Malaysia, bringing together a broad range of leading professionals from 20 different disciplines at the local and international level. CERiA’s mission is to conduct multi-disciplinary research to address the major health and social issues associated with the HIV epidemic in Malaysia, with objectives focusing on researching basic sciences, epidemiology, clinical, social, behavioral sciences and policy, and translating research findings into Malaysian policy and practice. CERiA has over 10 years of research collaboration with various government ministries and agencies.
