Policy webinar: advancing universal health coverage for people who use drugs

21 November 2025

Join us for a webinar exploring how to make Universal Health Coverage (UHC) truly inclusive for people who use drugs across EuropeDespite regional commitments, this population continues to face systemic barriers to essential health and social services, resulting in poorer health outcomes and disproportionate burdens of HIV and hepatitis C, with injecting drug use accounting for over 77% of chronic HCV cases in the EU/EEA.

Drawing on EHRA’s new policy brief, developed under the EU4Health-funded BOOST project, the discussion will present concrete policy recommendations to transform UHC systems into inclusive, evidence-based, and responsive systems that address the real needs of marginalized communities. By investing in inclusive UHC systems, Europe can address current public health challenges, align with the EU Drugs Strategy 2021–2025, and uphold its commitment to "leave no one behind" in healthcare.
