Among the National institute for health and care excellence's (NICE’s) quality standards which will be discussed at Public Health: Quality Standards for Improved Lives, will be the following: 

  • Hepatitis B
  • Alcohol dependence and harmful alcohol use
  • Bacterial meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia in children and young people
  • Drug Use Disorders
  • Smoking cessation: supporting people to stop smoking
  • Health and Wellbeing of Looked After Children
  • In Development

Quality standards are also in development in the following areas: promoting health and preventing premature mortality in the BME community, domestic violence, maternal and child nutrition, obesity in children, smoking (harm reduction and prevention) and physical activity in all people in contact with the NHS.
