ECOSOC elects INCB members

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) met on 23rd April 2013, and elected by secret ballot five members for five-year terms beginning on 2 March 2015. Four members were elected in the first voting round:

  1. Jallal Toufiq (Morocco),
  2. Jagjit Pavadia (India),
  3. Viroj Sumyai (Thailand)
  4. Francisco Thoumi (Colombia)

Following a subsequent special ballot to break a tie between Zhimin Liu (China) and Flore Ndembiyembe (Cameroon), Bernard Leroy (France) was elected in a third round.
