Call for applications to join the Technical Review Panel

The Technical Review Panel is an independent group of international experts convened by the Global Fund to play an essential role in assessing funding requests received from countries for technical soundness and strategic focus. The TRP also guides the strategic focus of Global Fund investments, effective program design and implementation strategies to achieve the greatest impact.

Since its creation in 2002, the Global Fund has become the main external investor in programs to reduce the burden of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, with funding of more than US$ 20 billion for over 1,000 programs in 151 countries.

In advance of the full implementation of a new approach to funding in 2014, the TRP membership needs to be replenished to ensure that there is a robust and diverse pool of experts with the requisite skills. This is a great opportunity for senior level HIV experts, tuberculosis experts, and malaria experts as well as health systems, community systems, and cross cutting development experts.

We encourage applications from qualified experts who bring a range of technical skills, experience from the public and private sectors and civil society and other qualities that will be an asset to the TRP. Please note that in-depth developing country experience is a key requirement.

The closing date for the application is Noon (GMT) on Wednesday, 31 July 2013.
