自2007年成立以来，IDPC的成员数目一直保持有机的增长。其成员既有非政府组织，也有学术机构、智库或专业网络。这些机构都需要具有国内或国际视野，在药物政策领域都有不菲的表现。成为IDPC的成员无需缴纳成员费，但必须致力于推动IDPC的愿景与使命、战略目标、政策原则和工作计划。
IDPC有两种类型的成员。第一：伙伴成员，它们与IDPC一道将年度工作计划付诸实施，第二：网络成员，它们负责向大众推广我们的理念，发放我们的材料。所有成员共同努力，为开放的讨论药物政策问题创造条件，同时推动制订更加符合人道主义观念的、有成效的国际、国内政策。

Uniting’s Fair Treatment campaign confronts stigma, develops grassroots leaders and helps lawmakers to better understand and follow the evidence to modernise our drug laws.
