The Cocaine Trade - Home Affairs Committee, Annex B: Netherland Visit Notes

The Home Affairs Comitee visited the Netherlands on 2-3 November 2009 to see scanning operations in place at the container port in Rotterdam and at Schiphol international airport in Amsterdam. The Netherlands is a major European transit country for cocaine smuggling—with small-scale imports through Schiphol airport and large-scale imports via container ships at Rotterdam port—and has a high prevalence of cocaine use, similar to the UK.
