The meeting was comprised of twelve Muslim and Christian religious leaders from Jordan, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Morocco in addition to MENAHRA’s team. The meeting was facilitated by the regional consultant Ms. Rana Haddad.

The objective of the meeting was to develop guidelines for religious leaders on communicating with the people who use drugs and their communities on harm reduction.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the results of the previous meetings and the objective of the guidelines. The three day meeting was participatory and interactive with the leaders with fruitful discussions and debates. In addition, the religious leaders reviewed the guide, made recommendations for amendments, and added religious texts to its chapters.
