Films éducatifs de réduction des risques pour usagers injecteurs de drogues (en russe)

The International Alliance on HIV / AIDS in Ukraine has completed implementation of the advocacy project "Green Light" started in 2009 with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation (local Open Society Foundation office) and aimed at overcoming existent obstacles and creating favorable conditions for Harm Reduction programs implementation including Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) program in Ukraine.

The project target groups included relevant state and law enforcement bodies on regional and national levels, NGOs implementing Harm Reduction and OST Programs, representatives of vulnerable populations, in particular, IDUs, national and regional mass media.

With one of the specific project directions framework, there have been produced three informational and educational films in Russian language (full and short versions) for IDUs, their relatives and NGOs working with them:

1. Basics of Harm Reduction

2. Overdose prevention and reducing risks for injection drug use

3. Legal aspects of drug dependency. IDUs and police

Ensuring rights of vulnerable groups is an integral component of the general response to HIV/ AIDS. Alliance together with the International Renaissance Foundation and other partner organizations, intends to continue implementing concrete measures and initiatives aimed at protecting rights of Harm Reduction program participants, decriminalization of IDUs in Ukraine, on the basis of experience, materials and documents gained in the process of the Green Light project implementation.
