6th International Conference on Law Enforcement and Public Health

8 September 2020

LEPH2021 is calling for individuals and/or panels to contribute to the Virtual 6th International Law Enforcement and Public Health Conference scheduled for March 22-24, 2021. All submitted presentations will undergo peer review and selection by the LEPH Program Committee. For LEPH2021, we will be partnering with Whova as the official conference app. All content will be available to conference participants online through the app.

Deadline to submit: October 16, 2020

LEPH2021 Learning Objectives:

Across the broadest range of issues that connect public health to public safety, the LEPH 2021 conference aims to:

  • Foster tangible collaborations between the sectors of law enforcement, public health and communities
  • Ensure that law enforcement and public health missions are driven by the needs, values and concerns of the people they serve
  • Redistribute responsibilities across systems in furtherance of community safety and wellbeing
  • Bring a lens focused on racial, ethnic, socioeconomic and gender equity to both public health and law enforcement systems

Submissions will be accepted for several types of presentations, including virtual live and semi-live (pre-recorded with virtual live Q & A) formats, and the Program Committee will be considering both the content and the creativity in delivering information within a virtual platform to delegates around the globe.

Presentation formats:

Individual Presentation:

Individuals may submit a proposal for a virtual presentation. Selected individual proposals may be paired with other similar themed presentations for programing consistency and impact. Opportunities will be made available for individual presenters to engage the conference delegation through virtual live Q & A.

Panel Presentation:

A panel presentation is a virtual panel presentation made up of 3-5 presenters on one conference related topic/conference theme. Panel presentations will be moderated by one of the panelists. All Co-panelists should be invited by the panel proposer to participate the submission of the proposal. Submissions should include names and contact information of all co-panelists at the time of submission. Opportunities will be made available for panel presenters to engage the conference delegation through virtual live Q & A.

Virtual Poster Presentation:

Opportunities for virtual posters will be made available for LEPH2021, which will allow the presenter to describe their research, a case study, or another topic that can be effectively delivered via a single PDF poster and engage the conference delegation through virtual live Q & A.

Marketplace of Ideas:

Because 2021 is the first time we are taking the conference virtual, we encourage you to explore your vision for creative content delivery! If you have a presentation that will deliver content virtually to our audience that you feel is innovative, we hope you will submit a presentation for the Marketplace of Ideas.

Do you want to share presentations of innovative partnerships, collaborative programs and other initiatives? These ideas can take the form of videos, recorded interviews or presentations with embedded PowerPoint and/or videos, live joint presentations by law enforcement and public health partners and/or evaluators or stakeholders, live or recorded presentations from the program itself with interviews of staff and/or clients, site tours, or other types of experiences.

Online Workshop:

An interactive format between facilitator(s), resource people and trainers, and a limited number of conference delegates for production of a product or output (e.g. guidance, recommendations, policy statement etc) or for delivery of a Masterclass or training package.
