"Righting a Wrong!": Virtual convening around African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights' advisory opinion on vagrancy laws

SAVE THE DATE: Righting a Wrong! Virtual convening on the African Court Advisory Opinion: March 25th @ 11h-15h GMT

OSF together with partners in the campaign to Decriminalise Petty Offences in Africa will host a virtual meeting to discuss the recent landmark Advisory Opinion handed down by the African Court on Human and Peoples Rights.

During the convening, we will ask both duty bearers and rights holders from Southern, East, West and North Africa to reflect on the implications of this directive for practice, as well as provide guidance to States on strategies for domestication at the national level. We will also hear experiences from the United States, Guyana, Jamaica and India to highlight the global nature of this issue.
