‘Connections during crisis’ – Preventing drug deaths in Scotland

20 June 2019

Join the Scottish Drugs Forum (SDG) at their upcoming conference on drug-related deaths on the 29th of August in Glasgow, which will mark International Overdose Awareness Day 2019.

Rates of accidental and preventable overdoses in Scotland continue to be the highest in Europe. This year’s conference theme ‘Connections During Crisis’ will focus on how we connect people, evidence and service provision to prevent drug deaths.

This summer, the National Records of Scotland will publish the latest statistics on drug overdose deaths in Scotland for 2018 and the Dundee Drugs Commission will also publish its final report. This event will also build on SDF’s work on Staying Alive In Scotland.
