On April 19th, the General Assembly of the United Nations will come together in a special session for the first time since 1998 to debate the direction of global drug policy. Nearly two decades ago, the UN followed the Reagan and Clinton era policies that focused on creating a drug-free world, an undertaking that has led to unprecedented rates of racial discrimination in drug-related arrests, prosecutions, and incarceration rates.

Join hundreds of national and international leaders for a day of learning and debating, networking and strategizing about the next steps we need to take to end the drug war and ensure policies that are grounded in racial justice.

Speakers include Erica Garner, the daughter of slain Staten Island resident Eric Garner, Mayor Svante Myrick of Ithaca, NY, DPA Executive Director, Ethan NadelmannDr. Carl Hart and Deborah Small. There will be excerpts of Michael Moore's film Where to Invade Next shown witih commentary by special surprise guests!

This event is free. Food will be served throughout the day. This event is accessible by elevator through the main entrance.

Seats are limited, please RSVP to participate.
