IDPC promotes drug policy reform at UN Crime Congress

At the occasion of the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, Gloria Lai, IDPC Senior Policy Officer, made a statement on the negative consequences of disproportionately harsh drug laws, and their specific impact on incarceration rates and prison overcrowding. Gloria offered a series of recommendations to promote proportionality of sentencing for drug offences. Please read the full statement below.
