The first-aid Naloxone pilot in CAHR China saved PWID’s life from opiate overdose in Chengdu

I am a client of Chenghua drop-in centre for needle exchange programmes. My service card number is 2304. I was first introduced by my friend and visited the centre’s service on July 1, 2013 through PDI referral (PDI number is 120121). On that day, I took an interview and got some needles/syringes and consumables needed for my own use to inject opiate drugs.

To my great surprise, I was also provided with two single-use shots of injection called Naloxone, of which I had no idea before the visit. Then the staff of Chenghua drop-in center trained me and some other PWID the knowledge and first.
