Sign the support letter to include the PEG-INF on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines!

31 January 2013

In the beginning of December, 2012, Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) submitted an application for PEG-IFN to be included on the WHO MLEM. As PEG-IFN is currently part of the optimal treatment for the hepatitis C virus, and given that 3% of the world's population is chronically infected with HCV, and access to treatment is extremely limited due to high prices of medicines, PEG-IFN should be included on this list.

The Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN), ITPCru, International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Ukraine, and East Europe and Central Asia Union of PLWH (ECUO) call to support inclusion of pegylated interferon (PEG-INF) on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines (MLEM) and sign the support letter to WHO.

The letter can be signed both by organizations and individuals. Signatures will be collected till 7 of February, 2013. Later on letter will be delivered to WHO.

You can find and sign the letter here.
