Consultant to Support the Development of a National Strategy on Drug Dependence Treatment in Viet Nam

Duration:

Twenty (20) working days from 4 June to 13 July

With the overall goal to assist in the development of a national system of community-based treatment of substance use disorders integrating health and social interventions, a consultant will review and map the situation in Viet Nam with respect to drug use and its health consequences and Government legal framework, directives and guidelines in response. The consultant will further map relevant partners (Government agencies, international donors, community and affected population groups, NGOs, health and social organizations) and their current responsibilities and initiatives for the development of responses. The consultant will further identify challenges and opportunities for the development of a multisectoral community-based treatment system and propose an outline for the development of such a system. The consultant’s report is to serve as a basis for discussion at a national consultation meeting.
