The Global Review Panel needs your help!
The new United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, has committed to leading a comprehensive reform effort. A Global Review Panel has been convened by Helen Clark, Chair of the United Nations Development Group and Michel Sidibé, UNAIDS Executive Director to address the challenges faced by UNAIDS—to make recommendations on how to make the Joint Programme sustainable and fit for purpose. The leadership of the Panel is committed to making this process as inclusive as possible. This virtual consultation is your opportunity to have a say in how to improve UNAIDS. The UNAIDS Strategy and the General Assembly commitments define what to do: Fast-Track and end AIDS once and for all. The Global Review Panel is focused on how UNAIDS works—how the Joint Programme can be refined and reinforced to better support countries to end AIDS. The Panel will focus specifically on three fundamental pillars of the Joint Programme: joint working, governance, financing and accountability. The discussion forums of the virtual consultation are organized the same way: one forum for each of the three pillars, and one forum for general discussion about how UNAIDS works.
