In 2013, OKANA (the Greek Substitution Program) opened in Athens the first piloting Drug Consumption Room (DCR) called ODYSSEAS, giving safety and support to all drug users who visit it and saving more than 100 lives. Less than a year from closing, the DCR's function was suspended and its staff is being charged for participation in illegal activity. Now, Athens is deprived of one of the most significant harm reduction facilities that could minimize deaths, infections, crime, social exposure and drug litter, following the wisdom of many developed countries across the world. GIVE US 'ODYSSEAS' BACK! Make at last some ROOM FOR CHANGE!!
