Resolution on Drugs and Human Rights - 44th OEA General Assembly

The Resolution "The promotion and protection of human rights in the search for a new focus and effective solutions, in the development and implementation of policies to address the global drugs problem in the Americas" was adopted unanimously at the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 44th OEA General Assembly. Promoted by Uruguay, co-sponsored by Argentina, and supported by Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia and Guatemala, the Resolution focuses on drug policy and human rights in the Western Hemisphere.
