Indonesian civil society calls on UN Special Rapporteur on Torture to examine Indonesia's drug laws and practices

On the occasion of the Expert Consultation on Torture and Ill-treatment in Health Care Settings, the Indonesian Faculty of Law, Atmajaya Catholic University and the Community Legal Aid Institute (LBH Masyarakat) have submitted the report below to the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman, or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

The submission provides an analysis of Indonesian drug laws and practices, including police violence and abuse against people who use drugs resulting from the criminalisation of drug use, the compulsory rehabilitation of people who use drugs, etc.
